If not a glutton for punishment after my 11 hour ordeal on the bus yesterday, i am up early next morning for the journey northwards.
Regular chapas run from Nampula to the island in about three hours. It costs Mtc120 including carrying rucksacks. Amazingly the road is sealed completely with minimal potholes.
