Gaza

Israel is small. No – really it is very small. Just a pin prick on the map. Get a globe or an Atlas if you won’t take my word for it. Considering it’s size, it’s somewhat amazing the amount of publicity it gets.

Gaza is even smaller. It measures 45kms long and no wider than 10kms wide. It must be the place with the most colomn inches than any equivalent place of its size.

Also known unaffectionately by Israelis as Hamastan, the civil war rages on. Mortar bombs and even rocket launchers have been fired into Israel for the last seven days, one even targeting a school bus and killing one student.

Israel remains a complete war-zone. Why do people live here and what am i doing here?
