Always lovely to get the latest news from P. the erstwhile Korean/Californian, as he enjoys his six month sabbatical in Africa. After his intrepid visit across to Somaliland, he is clearly up for further adventures.
His latest trip into Democratic Republic of Congo takes him into Goma and up the seriously active volcano Nyiragongo. Not bad at all, especially considering he fell down into an open sewer in Kabale, boasting a cut so deep into his leg, his bone was clearly visible. Having done the same in Leh on my first trip to Ladakh, believe me, he had my fullest sympathy.
With his giving soul, he kindly offers me executive Internet rights on his fantastic crater photo.
Like all photos on Leap Into The Dark – view, enjoy, gasp with awe, but please respect they are not for downloading. If you like them, work hard, save your cash, go there yourself and try your luck with your own camera.
