Independence Day (Part One)
The State of Israel came into being on May 14th 1948 – or in the Jewish calendar 5th Iyar 5708. It is celebrated each year in Israel based on the Jewish colander and is known as Yom Ha’atzmaut which this year falls on May 9th.
