These are the Tombs of Jabal El Mawta – on the Mountain of the Dead, which lie to the north of Siwa oasis. Well over one hundred looted tombs were looted from this rather eerie site. For the full Scooby Doo effect try a midnight walk – try not to fall in any of the more hidden tombs.These series of shots were taken at sunset where the light diffused in myriad hues across the rock face.
