My first full day in Israel puts me fully into the fold of my extended family.
Moisha’s second wife died exactly seven years ago from cancer. In Israel there is always an annual gathering at the grave-side. Now that’s quality timing.
Fortunately Israel is not very formal and i just wear my black jeans and collarless black shirt. However, i do need to wear a Kippur (skull-cap). Moisha comes to the rescue with a large, whacky electric blue one with kitsch child motif which he describes as a Sudanese kippur. I seriously look the part.
Even more fortunate no-one has a camera to capture the moment. Sorry Ying – i know you’d love to see! Hehe
Bloody Drats!
