I have recently been suffering from cravings for dairy products. My “Cheese Supply” from England which included 1kg of cheddar and 400g of stilton and cranberries long since vanished, and although i have found a new outlet for yak cheese in Bhagsu, at Rp800 (about US$18) per kilo, it is ridiculously expensive.
Hurrah therefore to the newly discovered Himalayan Cheese Company in Kashmir. I purchased some high quality Chilly Gouda “manufactured by a Dutchman according to Dutch traditionalists” – or so the label says.
The chilly bite is fiery – and totally delicious.
