An Eye and a Lens – Glimpses of the Treasury

Entering Petra through the 1.2km Siq, the visitors’ first glimpse of the site’s enormity is the spectacular Treasury.

Made famous in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, one literally catches one breath or gasps out loud. It’s almost 40 metres high. Note the light changes over the course of the day.
